Fuji Finepx Z1 - Silver - shame it's my wife's...
I bought this camera for my wife for Xmas 2005 along with an HP photo printer. What a superb camera. Absolutely stunning photos. The camera is slim but has an excellent LCD screen and the images when displayed on her Sony Vaio laptop are amazing. Anyone who says this camera doesnt take great photos must have a problem with theirs. There is no comparison with my Sony DSC-P10 which is coming up for replacement. Now you can also get this camera for £140. What more can I say. Amazon here I come.63
Review for Fujifilm FinePix S100fs Digital Camera - Black (11.0MP, 14.3x Fujinon Manual Zoom Lens) 2.5" Tilting LCD:
A brilliant camera - 11.1MP with a 400mm zoom and a 67mm lens diameter.
You can adjust so many settings - The colour - tone - sharpness of the outlines - and finetune the white balance. You can even customise your own settings for quick accsess.
The dynamic range is good - it really brings contrasting areas into a good exposure.....Also with a fast SD card you can shoot mulitple images quickly that save to the card very fast......Its fully manual and fully automatic - You can even lock pictures on the sd card and then just delete everything else in one go.
Theres a real lack of noise on the camera - even at 400 asa - and 800's pretty good.
I think i'll be able to print at A3 - and for A4 the quality will be brilliant.
The included software also has a Raw file converter - which has been improved so you can change all the settings before converting it to a Tif or JPG.
So looking forwards to bringing this camera on holiday.
The fixed lens lets you photograph from a 1cm macro to 28mm wide angle up to a 400mm zoom - For what you can do with this camera its definately 5 Star

Review for 1 of FujiFilm Premium Leather Case for FinePix S8000fd:
A tight fit
I bought this item as a natural accompaniment to my Finepix S8000fd. The basic quality is fine, and it has its own very substantial shoulder strap attached. The one criticism I have is that it is too tight a fit if you leave the camera's own shoulder strap attached (and I can't imagine many people would want to remove the camera's own strap). I use the case because I don't like leaving the camera unprotected. However, every time I put the camera back in its case, I struggle to fold / screw up / persuade the camera strap into a sufficiently small package to allow me to zip the case closed. A little more space would have been good.66

fuji finepix f610 digital camera
I got this camera at a bargain price and it has been the best compact digital camera I have owned. I have even had some pictures exhibited that I took with this little gem... It has many settings to play around with but just stick it on auto and point and click and you're laughing. The battery doesnt last too long if you use the lcd display screen and not the view finder, so a spare battery is a useful addition. The size and weight of the camera body were perfect for me, it's small but solid and I wasnt worried that it would break in my bag or anything. Having said that I have just dropped my f610 on the floor (my own fault) and now need to buy a new one... i'll be buying the same camera again though!67

Brilliant Little Camera
I received this camera for my birthday and I absolutely love it. It's easy to use, produces brilliant photos and is 100% reliable. I take on average 500 photos a month and this camera has never let me down. Suitable for normal holiday shots, I also use it for sports photography68

Review for Fuji FinePix A345 Digital Camera [4MP , 3 x Optical] 1.7" LCD:
My main criticisms are that without the flash the pictures are very blurry, as well as with macro shots and low light (i.e. High ISO) photos also come out pretty poorly. The menu system could be better and if you ever make a video, the audio will go out of sync if it's longer than 2 mins or so.
I use a Nikon D40 DSLR camera for anything serious, but a compact is always useful for on-the-go shots and nights out. My friend purchased a Fuji E900 and returned it within a month for a lower priced Sony model due to purple fringing on her pictures and similarly low performance sans flash. As such, however popular a brand Fuji are and however many good reviews I hear about their superzooms (e.g. Fuji S5700), my experience with the brand has been fairly negative.
This was my first digital camera I purchased, and however well it has served me over the years, there are much better options out there.
To replace this, I intend to get a Canon A720 or a Nikon P60 (just announced, available March 2008), which friends of mine have and are both very happy with. Both of these cameras feature VR/IS (Vibration Reduction / Image Stabilisation) and easily overshadow my now obsolete paper-weight that is the Fuji A345.

An average compact camera, but there are better options available...
I bought this camera almost 3 years ago and the other week the sensor broke in it. Throughout this time spent with the camera, it's been a bit of a love-hate affair. By today's standards this model is sub-par, and that's not in regards to the 4.1MP resolution, as the picture quality leaves much to be desired. My main criticisms are that without the flash the pictures are very blurry, as well as with macro shots and low light (i.e. High ISO) photos also come out pretty poorly. Fantastic Camera, Excellent Value
The Fuji FinePix F480 is the perfect camera for someone on a tight budget. The camera is easy to use, with a fantastic display. With 8.2 megapixels the picture quality is fantastic, even in areas of poor light. I cannot fault this product and would recommend it to all.76
Review for Fuji FinePix A345 Digital Camera [4MP , 3 x Optical] 1.7" LCD:
My experience with Fuji has been good, I used to have a Fuji film camera (35mm), which was equally good value for money.
I am now thinking of replacing the broken one with the A900 as I feel Fuji cameras are solid, don't break easily and are easy to use: Very good value for money.
I suppose the only downside to Fuji is that the A range cameras are quite chunky.

Good first camera
I bought this camera 2 years ago now, and it was my first ever digital camera. I find it very easy to use and it's good value for money. Unfortunately mine has broken now (the lens does no longer focus) but up until this problem occured I have had no issues with the camera whatsoever. It was used on a very regular basis. My experience with Fuji has been good, I used to have a Fuji film camera (35mm), which was equally good value for money.

Review for Fuji - FinePix S100fs:
The s100fs is an incredibly flexible and enjoyable camera - for those of you who don't want the hassle of maintaining a DSLR, purchasing, carrying and having to change between some rather expensive lenses in order to get the same range of shots you can with the s100fs, this camera is definitely worth considering. I've found the image quality to be excellent (producing shots equal to those of some DSLRs). Type s100fs into the search engine of Flickr to find samples. But lets not just compare it to DSLRs, but also to other non-DSLRs - although largely based on other dpreview reviews and user images posted on Flickr as opposed to first hand experience, I've found the s100fs more than holds it own in this category.
Although many of the criticisms made by dpreview against the s100fs are valid, most are negligible/not isolated to this camera. What you'll find has people most concerned is chromatic aberration (the `cloud on the horizon with oddly-coloured edges' that I believe is, extending the metaphor, clouding many people's judgement).
For me this hasn't really been a problem (I print <A3 however; I can see why it would be a problem for someone who makes larger prints - though of course it depends on the photo you've taken). Although I admit at the current selling price one shouldn't have to do so, speaking as a Photoshop CS3 user, correcting for chromatic aberration is easy - with practice, you'll find it doesn't take that long at all. Certain filters may (emphasis on may) also help, e.g. a good quality 67mm UV filter (which regardless of the chromatic aberration issue is worth owning anyway in my opinion).
So, if you're an owner of good third-party RAW processing software and willing to correct for chromatic aberration, primarily for large prints (a good photographer can limit the need for correction, i.e. anyone who has read the manual/uses the most suitable settings for shooting dark objects against bright backgrounds), then I highly recommended the s100fs.
Of course I could just be another biased reviewer trying to justify their purchase, so get out there and get some hands on experience yourself before buying, I'm sure you'll be impressed.
I've decided to give the Fuji Finepix S100FS five stars because I've found it to be a very suitable camera for me. Whether it is for you is a decision you'll have to make. Admittedly I'm not as concerned as some of you may be about the chromatic aberration issue - though I can't recommend any, I'm sure there are cheaper RAW processing software packages than Photoshop out there able to resolve it (that is, if you want to put the effort in in the first place to do so).
Thanks for reading.

`Cloud on the horizon with oddly-coloured edges'
Before reading this, I recommend readers/potential buyers first visit dpreview for an excellent in depth analysis of the s100fs (plus it saves me having to write one). What I hope to achieve with my review is to share with you the experiences I've had as a s100fs user, and comment on the criticisms made by dpreview. Review for Fujifilm FinePix F480 Digital Camera - Silver (8.0MP, 4x Optical Zoom) 2.7" LCD:
My experience (6 weeks) with this camera is that, if nothing else, the sensor is unreliable; exposure varies widely and white balance is unstable (slightly different colour cast) even under similar conditions. It's sufficiently unreliable as to make me not want to use it. Honestly, you could pick up almost any other compact digital camera and be more confident in it. I have to agree with the reviewer who wrote that this camera is 'not fit for the purpose'. I've sent mine back to Fuji UK, and upon it's return Fuji engineers say 'it appears to be working normally'. Oh dear.

Why is this Fuji camera so poor?
Quite unquantifiable for Fuji - we all know their cameras are usually amongst the fastest and produce excellent pictures even at very low light levels. Their cameras are usually brilliant value for money, their sensors producing more useable pixels with larger pictures than competing models. My experience (6 weeks) with this camera is that, if nothing else, the sensor is unreliable; exposure varies widely and white balance is unstable (slightly different colour cast) even under similar conditions. A five star+ product
Wow! This is a stunning camera. Pocket size, attractive, simple initial set up, easy to use with an easily accessible menu, quick and easy transfer of pics to computer. The quality of pics taken in all the conditions of my recent cruise holiday - including night time partying and scenery through the window of a speeding coach - is superb, but the pictures I've taken of my little granddaughter, using face detection, are just outstanding...even on a 39" television screen. This camera costs £149 in Argos, I paid £109 at Amazon and I see it's even cheaper now. What a bargain!Footnote: My partner fancied something large and masculine for himself, but he's so impressed by my new Fuji he's going to buy himself a silver one!
